1. Standing in the profession, maturity, professionalism in approach;
   
2. Credibility, integrity and objectivity in the practice of the profession;
   
3. Contribution to the development of the law and the legal profession;
   
4. Known empathy and assisting in inculcating in the younger members the time-honoured traditions of the noble professions;
   
5. Noted interest in and preoccupation with upholding the ethics of respective professions;
   
6. Any national or international contribution or exposure relevant to the discipline of the law.
