Investec: Mauritius Online Forex Trading made easy

Investec Bank (Mauritius) Limited is offering a new functionality to its online banking platform.

You are now able to monitor live exchange rates and trade currencies in real-time at your convenience. 

The payment process has been enhanced where you can opt to fix your own exchange rate for currency payments or for trading currencies across your own accounts. For the time being, the trading amounts will be between $10,000 and $250,000 (or currency equivalent).

In order to trade, see the below steps.

Step 1: 

Logon to Investec Online with your user id and password. 

Step 2: 

Capture your online payment.

Step 3: 

Authorise your online payment via In App message or OTP.

Step 4: 

If your payment is between $10 000 and $250 000 (or currency equivalent), then navigate to the “Overview”, “Payments and Transfers” or “Authorisation” tabs and select the “Trades” sub tab 

The trading functionality will be available once a payment has been fully authorised. You will then have the option to “Trade Now” or opt for the “Bank rate”- this is a mandatory step to complete your payment process.  

Step 5: 

Confirm your rate.

This service is available weekdays starting every Monday at 3am and closing Friday at 8pm (UTC time), except during the daily system downtime. The following currencies are available for trading: CHF, EUR, GBP, USD, and ZAR.
