The Financial Services Authority Seychelles (“FSA”) is aware of the “Panama Papers” revelations whereby it appears that certain information and documents of Mossack Fonseca, a Panama based law firm, were leaked to the German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung, and reported by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists amongst other media outlets. In view that Mossack Fonseca & Co (Seychelles) Ltd is a company licensed and regulated by the FSA and forms part of the Mossack Fonseca Group, the FSA is concerned vis-à-vis the content of these publications, especially in view of the potential damage that these may cause to the reputation of the Seychelles.
