The Group takes top honours in the European and Caribbean regions for Legal Services
The International Custody & Fund Administration Magazine has named Appleby the 2010 Legal Services Provider of the Year for the European region. The results were announced at a cocktail evening at The Northumberland in London on Tuesday 23 November. Farah Ballands, Partner and Group Head of Fiduciary and Administration Services accepted the award. Louise Follain, Client Director for the Corporate Administration, Funds and Real Estate Group of Appleby Trust (Jersey) Limited and Michael Ellis, Deputy General Counsel of Appleby were also in attendance.
In May of this year, Appleby also won the ICFA Legal Services Provider of the Year Award for the Caribbean and Bermuda. ICFA provides a concise information source and guide to the industry on an international scale mapping out the trends, profiling the markets, investigating the business processes and ensuring that readers are fully aware of the key current and future issues.
Appleby, the largest offshore law firm by number of partners, received this accolade as a result of significant transactions undertaken during the past year as well as developments within the firm. Appleby has grown to over 800 lawyers and professional specialists and has transformed through a series of mergers and new office openings which are significant factors in the firm’s international growth strategy. The most recent office opening was in Guernsey earlier this year.
