Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita will be celebrating the arrival of the Year of the Horse with a festival of authentic Chinese cuisine, prepared by Chef Jacky Yang Qi, who will be joining the Resort in Mauritius from Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at West Lake.
Adding a modern twist to Hangzhou cuisine, Chef Jacky embraces creativity in all of his dishes and holds extensive experience in both traditional Chinese and western culinary styles. During the celebrations in Mauritius, Chef Jacky will work alongside the Resort’s chefs to share his expertise to create a feast of authentic flavours for guests to enjoy.
The Resort’s Chinese New Year celebrations will begin on Friday, January 24 and will carry through until Saturday, February 8, 2014, with the culinary festival set to include:
- Chinese New Year Dinner, Thursday, January 30 – On the eve of the New Year, the Resort’s beachfront restaurant of Bambou will play host to a spectacular celebration, with a traditional Lion Show and Dragon Dance, and a buffet bursting with Chinese delicacies.
- Breakfast and Lunch Specialties – Every day throughout the festival, an ever-changing variety of Chinese specialties will feature as part of the Resort’s breakfast offering in Beau Champ, while for lunch, the daily specials offered will be dedicated to the signature dishes of Chef Jacky.
- Live Cooking Station – Each evening, Chef Jacky will offer a live cooking station in Bambou to complement the restaurant’s a la carte menu, allowing guests to sample their choice of traditional Chinese flavours.
