The aim of the proposals is to modernize and improve on Seychelles’ existing trust law, the International Trusts Act, 1994 (“ITA”), and to provide a stronger basis for building Seychelles trust business. Growth in the trust business is an important part of taking the next steps as a growing international financial centre, and in developing value-added offshore services and increasing local economic benefit.
